Dunno if it has come up in this thread, but her father has spoken up on the issue: While he isn't a fan of the adversity she might be putting herself into getting in a biracial relationship, the reason is because she lied about dating in general, and felt that she was unappreciative and spoiled for her opportunities. Her turning it into race is her trying to rationalize the situation with her as a victim.
And sure enough, "If daddy isn't paying for college, I need to get strangers to do it!"

My parents disowned me in my Fr. year of college because I wasn't abiding by their beliefs. Got a job and figured out how to be an adult. Their tough love made me resilient and independent and we now have an honest relationship with no bullshite.

Although I feel saddened in this day & age people still get ruffled over interracial relationships (and it goes both ways, often black parents get more upset). I find no reason to fund her based on this reason. We all have sufferings financially we go thru in our first major relationships requiring moving, bills, etc.
IMHO she is using this as an attempt to get at people's emotions to foot her bills.
They can both get jobs like the rest of us.

I'm not saying that how her parents view this is right or wrong, but this story reminds me of how some people are too quick to donate to some of these GoFundMe pages. People just believe all of these stories without doing much fact checking.

I can understand helping someone if their home was destroyed or they have some tragic event.
