I have questions. Did these three men call the police as they were following her?

If they called the police and reported the hit and run and were following I still question them not waiting on them once she fled into her home. If they were following her and had not called the police I really have a problem.

You follow me home I will be blasting when I come out the door, if I don't shoot from inside. You follow my pregnant daughter home and kill her. I will massacre everyone in your family and you will get to watch.

I have question about three men against one pregnant librarian. She literally may have fled the scene out of fear.

quote:

A 35-year-old librarian was fatally shot on Saturday after she returned home from a hit and run crash and pointed a firearm at the person she allegedly hit with her car.

On Saturday, Sara Nicole Morales allegedly intentionally hit Andrew Derr, a 40-year-old motorcyclist, with a blue Kia that she was driving and then fled the scene, according to the Orange City, Florida, Police Department. The motorcyclists and other witnesses attempted to get Morales to pull over and followed her to her home, where she went inside and re-emerged with a handgun, which police said she pointed at Derr.

Derr, a concealed weapons permit holder, fired multiple rounds, striking Morales, according to police. Morales was still breathing after the shooting and was transported to Halifax hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving...

Morales' family told WOFL she was four- or five-months pregnant when she was fatally shot and that she leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter and a fiance.

This is where it went wrong. If you're in fear for your life, you don't leave the safety of your home.

Call the cops, tell them 3 men followed you home, and you're in your house packing heat.

Yeah she should have stayed inside. Bad outcome for sure but she decided to handle it herself.

frick that bitch. You question if the 3 men ever called the police yet never question if this woman ever called the police. You seem one sided no matter what.

The men should have reported the license plate and called police but natural human rage sometimes takes over. Law won’t be on their side in this case but I don’t feel too sorry for someone intentionally hitting someone.

quote:

Morales' handgun was recovered on the scene and Derr remained there until police arrived. Police said he's been cooperating with law enforcement "from the beginning" and no one has been charged. Orange City Police Department Lieutenant Jason Sampsell told Newsweek the investigation was still ongoing, but said he anticipated Derr won't be charged with any crime.

Well good

She had the gun on him and he still got the drop on her? I wonder if her gun was even loaded.

How do you know that she intentionally hit him? If I followed someone home and killed them I would say she intentionally hit me too.

Irrelevant. Don’t bring an unloaded gun to a gun fight.

Nobody knows 100% what happened but there were witnesses based on the article. Did you bother to read it?

That was a point of discussion on the Rittenhouse trial - some idiot claimed that the mere sight of a gun would cause anyone to flee - regardless of whether if was loaded.

I get the anger regarding the scenario you described but you have some issues if you truly feel this way. It's almost Thanksgiving, be happy and hug your family my man

Very interesting self defense here.

1. Did the person intentionally hit the biker or not. No one will ever actually know now.

2. The guy did have a gun pointed at him

3. However he did intentionally follow the person onto their property which led to the gun coming out.

My guess is he isn’t getting off Scott free but isn’t getting slammed with life or a extremely harsh sentence.

Woman fricked up by hitting someone and then leaving her house and not making the first shot if she truly felt threatened. She should have come out firing.

Biker fricked up in a rage and followed someone onto their property which 100 percent is threatening.

Sad situation overall.

Big Derr would gun you down like he did that person’s wife hot shot.

This was someone's pregnant daughter.

Yes, when it comes to my kid, especially my baby girl. I can get issues real quick. Like zero to psycopath in the blink of an eye.

I am very familiar with biker culture. Any infraction real or imagined might have elicited a door kick or other aggressive action.

I don't think the whole story will ever be told.

Bottomw line. Three men followed a prenant librarian to her home, and now she is dead. Apparently they did not call the police, and planned their own justice.

I'm sorry. I do seem to have an issue with three men against one pregnant woman.

Yea once you have the plate and address move along down the street and let the cops handle it.

I get being angry you got hit and it’s natural to be pissed but at some point you gotta be smart.

A whole lot of dumb bad decisions on both sides in this story.

Why did she come out of her house waving a gun around if she wasn't ready to use it? If I had my gun on someone and they took one wrong move I'd empty my mag into them.
This just sounds like the fiction from the Rittenhouse trial to me - no the mere sight of a gun is not going to scare a po'd person away. She should have stayed in her home and called the police. If someone tried to break in her home - rack your gun and start shooting.

First of all, none of us were there to know what really happened. When someone in a 7,000 lb vehicle hits a motorbike “allegedly intentionally” that right there is using a deadly weapon in itself. When the witnesses (victim on bike and two friends) follow this car, 1. They don’t necessarily know this is a female driver 2. A pregnant one at that 3. That she is a librarian.
The driver of the car could have been a male thug with a rap sheet a mile long. So quit trying to make out that the driver is so innocent in your narrow viewed mind.

One woman with a gun can be more threatening than 3 men against one woman. She fricked up twice and struck out before her third swing.

If you try to kill a motorcyclist (particularly certain motorcyclists) with your vehicle bad things are generally going to happen as a result.

If you are going to carry a weapon (i.e. concealed carry) (and for the record it appears she was a CCW permit holder but did not have her weapon on her and had to retrieve it from inside the home) you had better train and be proficient with your weapon or bad things are going to happen as a result.

I'd like to know what lead up to the dead woman intentionally hitting the motorcyclist. Hit and run is a crime in every state I can think of. Even if you fear for your life you have a duty to report the incident as soon as possible.
