Woman on an American Airlines flight was taped up and gagged after a mid-flight freak out

Apparently this woman had a freak out in a flight from Dallas to Charlotte. She tried to open the plane doors mid-flight, so the crew had to subdue her. She was fighting and tried to bite people. Eventually they got her arms taped behind her and got and legs taped up, got a few strips of tape over her mouth to stop her from trying to bite, and got her in a chair. They taped her upper body in, and strapped her in with the seat belt. You can hear her mumbling under the gag as the woman recording gets closer and you eventually see her.

People love to whine and complain and feign injustice. Lady tried to open the door of a pressurized cabin and physically attacked the crew.
I'm so sick of this "they have anxiety" and "they're scared" bullshite to explain other people's behavior. Those are their problems and they have no right to go and make them everyone else's problems. They have to figure that shite out on their own through their own life experiences just like normal, sane people do to function as a normal member of society. She's insane, so she tried to kill herself and harm others hence the reason she got duct taped. She was on a plane tens of thousands of feet in the air, what were the other options? Some people are so stupid.
ETA: Are social workers on every plane the next big thing?

My buddy, who was flying as an on duty Federal Agent but not an Air Marshal, was approached by the lead flight attendant on a flight. He was in Economy. She said "we need your help, there is an out of control drunk guy in First Class." He goes up there and the guy is yelling and being as arse. He tells the guy to chill out and, long story short, they end up in a fight. He whips the guys arse and puts him in cuffs. No sooner than they land and the guy is turned over to airport police, the same flight attendant calls the FBI and reports him for excessive use of force and "Civil Rights Violations." It turns into an official investigation and he got six months of desk duty before he was cleared.
His entire thing was: 1. They asked me to intervene because the guy was out of control 2. What did they think was gonna happen? 3, once they guy came out of his seat and took a swing at me, I didn't have a lot of choice. I couldn't let him win the fight once he knew I had a gun. 4. Next time I will tell the crew to get fricked up until someone is trying to hijack the plane and then I will come out shooting.

Agree. Had the lady succeeded at opening the door everyone on that plane would have had their life in jeopardy.

Discount airlines have driven down the cost of flying to a point that too many poor people fly. Add poors to anything and it makes that thing worse.
