I thought it was strange that she was with a guy 10 years older than her.

I’m tens years older than my wife. That doesn’t mean she was a “bad” girl. I was 34 and she was 24. Had both her mom and dad’s blessing. That was 35 years ago. A ten year gap doesn’t mean bad things will automatically happen. Sorry to hear about friend. Prayers sent her and your way.

dont ya love stories by lazy reporters with zero info

Meh, reporters can really only give the information that police release.

If its an ongoing investigation with "foul play" the reporter isn't getting much information from police. Therefore, stories will be to the point until more information comes out.

I don't know her but I'm good friends with a local bartender who is close to her and she agrees with your sentiment.

Don't know about the boat getting knocked down, but if one of the mast stays failed its probably coming down regardless of the weather.

You were asked for your 40 yr old virgin opinion about a 10 yr age gap in her relationship?

You can motor without a sail or mast, but only an arse hat leaves a marina with a "broken' trashy looking rig.

Unless it was being repaired and he just wanted to do a little motor ride.

My guess is they jumped in the water to swim and could noot get back to/in the boat

My thoughts exactly... Late night skinny dip...?

Dog and phones were still on the boat...

Interesting there's no information yet from the survivor..

I was told that they were out for a swim, and the boat was not anchored. When they realized that it got away, she decided to swim for shore. Apparently they found the survivor hanging onto a crab bouy. It was apparently close to a mile swim. As someone stated before she's a fitness instructor and a very strong swimmer. She probably thought she had a better chance to make it to the lighted shore than to find the boat.
