Yes, but I think you are misunderstanding the differences. Psychiatry is the study and treatment of mental illness. Psychology is the study of the mind and identifies what is mental illness.

When I was in HS there was a dude that took way too much acid and got institutionalized over the summer. They said he had to be restrained and he thought that he was a carrot and all the doctors and nurses and his family and anybody else was a rabbit trying to eat him
