I could see a scenario where the building owner is secretly thrilled about this.

I have one rental... This would be a win for me. Rebuild that sucker with the insurance money and profit!

Raze it with insurance money and then sell the property to developers.

I hope she's ready for the onslaught of lawsuits that are incoming from the others living in the complex.
She was getting evicted because she couldn’t pay rent. Don’t think this will be an issue.

She’s only 25

Anything she has now or will ever earn will be garnished.

Unless she spends the rest of her life in jail

Did someone die in the fire? Could be big trouble, if so.

This act was a -mostly peaceful- protest of her upcoming eviction.

Jazlynn Major, 25, was arrested Tuesday by police in Hunstville, Texas, on a warrant accusing her of 26 counts of aggravated arson following the three-alarm blaze at the Amies Paradise apartments that killed a dog and displaced 26 residents.

Lock her up and throw away the key

ETA: Unless it was a pitbull, amirite?

One block off St Charles on Washington. The building has always been a dump and she did the owner a favor. Now easy demolition instead of fighting NOLA zoning bullshite then take insurance proceeds and go up to a new 3 story condo. Landlord will bank 7 figure profit on this "tragedy".
Another run down property in NOLA that suddenly burns down ........

Pretty sure eviction relief was in the package Trump proposed that Nancy shite on because it didn't have the trillions of dollars of goodies she wanted.

Those 26 people should give her a call
