Yes that was a typo. I meant legal. And a lot of you need to get over abortion being legal.

Honest question, are your morals purely based on legality?

Yeah, I just don’t see why doing an act accidentally is any worse than doing that same act intentionally. Normally it’s the other way around. It’s the same act with the same result for the fetus.

Abortion is a slippery slope on which those who attempt to justify it can only do so by ultimately tossing out the conviction of human life being precious and the morality of premeditated, cold-blooded murder being wrong.

Also, for those standing on the soapbox of legality making murder right and moral, consider this:
A). In Rome it was legal to kill Christians by putting them in the colosseum and having animals rip them to shreds while the crowd cheered.
B). In Germany it was legal to starve Jews in concentration camps, then take the ones who survived long enough, strip them, and put them in gas chambers.
C). In Iran it is legal to drag a woman to the middle of the town square, stake her on a chain like a dog, and stone her to death slowly just for removing her hijab in public or for really ANY perceived wrong she’s done from her husbands perspective.

Legality does not equal morality or justification for wrong. Legality is man-made and subject to existing on wicked intent. This is why we have God-given (the REAL one-not “allah”) principles for morality and conduct. Rules from a higher power than ourselves that provide a check-and-balance against legality that is created by wicked people with wicked intentions and zero morality. People who value power and control to rule and fuel their pride and lust over right and wrong.

So let me get this straight for those arguing for legal abortion in this thread: if this woman had simply killed her unborn child the "right way" you wouldn't have regarded it as murder, but because her baby was a stillborn due to being intoxicated with meth, she's guilty of second degree murder?

Do you not understand the illogical nature of this? Is an unborn child a human being with rights or something else?

wouldn't know what to do to this woman. I don't know what's fair for her. I don't think throwing her in prison is really going to solve anything here. It's just a shitty situation top to bottom.

it is rare I think insanity is a legit legal defense.

but in her case, I think an intensive 180 day inpatient hospital stay at a drug rehab place (such as brentwood in shreveport) would be justified, followed by many years of half-way house style living

problem is who foots the bill, but then again, who foots the court case bill?

do you mind if I use this argument in real life?

Perfect layout sumtime. See, unlike all those former legally murdered people you mentioned, no babies can escape to relate the horror of what an abortion is 10, 20, 30 or 40 years later.

And much like no one returns from the dead to tell you about a possible afterlife, the living can't know what a fetus feels as its being ripped to pieces in a womb, or outside the womb for that matter. I guess you could wire up its brain and look for signals of intense pain during the procedure.

The thinking of supporters of abortion, make it clear to me how a group of people, like the nazis and others before them, can systematically kill millions of humans in broad daylight, and not feel any guilt or shame, because after all, its legal, right.

The one from the old testament supported pretty similar things.

The funny thing is, the Bee’s satirical article was the exact same argument that some in this thread were using. How embarrassing that must be.
