This is not monopoly so, "Bank Error in your Favor" is not option. Call up bank and correct. That's the safe route.

happens all the time, they deposited someone elses paycheck in your account.

DKE friend did this in the late 80’s and blow was plentiful. Almost 10K blown over the weekend. Yes, it caught up with him.

Last year, my company entered my time wrong and I ended up with 40 hours OT and a chunk of money in my account. I kept the money in there until the new year, and then transferred it to my savings when 4th quarter was over and they never caught it.

Your bank placed memo debits on your account for all your bills. This happens over the weekends. Because banks were closed Monday, they didn't post to your account and the memo debits dropped off, which is why your available balance was showing higher.
