Sounds like an amazing experience. Maybe it was her way of telling you not to be sad anymore and that she is ok.

I lost my dad six years ago in August. When I'm really missing him the most, I'll dream about him. Like a good dream where we get to talk. I feel like it's just God telling me he's good.

No she died in April. This was completely out of the blue.

Wonder if you’ll start a thread this heartfelt if your real wife dies?
No since I've been on this site lessons were learned. Someone would ask for a pic of my wife before she died.

Even worse, some would ask for the post mortem pics

I've had two separate dreams where I was able to tell my deceased Grandmother and Great-Grandmother how much I loved them and missed them. I hugged them both and their voices were so live and real. I woke up from both feeling so content and warm.

I lost my best friend from high school to suicide about 8 years ago. Me and him grew up very differently. He had a pretty rough childhood: Dad was addicted to pain pills, mom was an alcoholic, lots of abuse growing up, but the guy had a heart of gold. Loved to make people laugh.
I was very fortunate to grow up in a pretty normal, happy home. During high school, he basically lived with us for about 3 years.
The day I got the call, I was devastated. For years, I had been carrying a lot of guilt with me thinking I could have maybe helped him though whatever it was until I was visited by him in a dream. We hugged each other and he said he was sorry. He also looked happier and more content than I had ever seen him.
I woke up in tears and told my wife (no pics) what had happened. I feel like that dream done more for me than any kind of therapy could have ever helped. All guilt and pain has been gone since that night knowing he was at peace.

I had a really cool dream about my grandmother a few weeks back right before Christmas. This Christmas made 5 years she had been gone.
Me and her were just sitting around and I could tell that she had gained some weight, so I said granny you have put on some weight! She said well I have been eating good in heaven! She said I love you and I miss you, but I have to go. And that when I woke up. I woke up so happy that day.

had the same thing happen with my Maw Maw as well as my first dog that died a few years ago, obviously separate dreams.
Woke up with the best feeling in the world, and like you said, just felt like they came to the dream to say they were ok.

My mom has experienced this with her dad. Brought her a lot of comfort. Some people will say it’s just a dream but why not wonder if they really came to visit you to say goodbye? So much we don’t understand about the afterlife.
I have experienced this multiple times. Maybe it’s just a dream. But your mind subconsciously creating a dream to help your through a rough time is a pretty powerful and incredible thing at minimum
When it happened to me, there was also direct correlation to date and time of the passing. Exactly 1 week later to the hour, then exactly 2 weeks later to the hour. And I’m not big on anniversary dates etc so I doubt my mind would have subconsciously applied the significance of time and date there and created the soothing dreams for that purpose

quote:one of my best friends growing up from 5th grade all the way through college died last year(suicide). We lost touch for some years, but ever since almost nightly I'd have dreams of him, so for Christmas I reached out to his mom for the first time. It's since helped and only maybe one dream a week now.
TL/DR. Dead coworker visits me in my dream. Felt real.
maybe you should reach out to someone that loves her
