To ban these books rather than take the time to get the wisdom from them is actually beyond any ignorant I have ever known.

So they want white people to sit and listen and have tough conversations but then books that are about racial injustice by white people make black folks uncomfortable?

Basically, unless white folks don’t blindly accept black folks ideas and wants, the white folks are wrong and any white thing that is seen as a problem should be removed immediately without question.

Who cares about a flag. I do not care whether someone flies or burns a flag. I do care when two of the greatest books in American history which painted a true historical story are taken out of curriculums over a freaking word while ignoring the substance.

They weren't banned. They were removed from the curriculum but remain in the school library. With that said, I agree with you they are great books. But I also realize simply using the N word and the effect it can have on a young black student can be negative too.
