Probably an Army Air Corps training field, I'm guessing? I remember reading (about 20 years ago) about a subdivision that was built in FL on top of a WWII target range. Mayhem ensued...

Used to frequent NSY-NZY...Grew up flying out of MLU and JAX..
Funny story, booked a trip to DFW once after mishearing the client say "Dulles is the closest airport to us"..Travel agent caught it, knowing the client better than I did

Moisant stock yard or something like that. I had to look it up because I thought is was because of Mississippi River.
... no, it is because of the Navy reserving the letter "N" for all beginning call acronym --- could not have NOL or NOLA
So they had to assign the actual site, which was Moisant Stockyards at that time.

Without listing them all? A lot. I have been in and out of a lot of commercial and private/muni airports.
Off the top of my head I would guess somewhere in the 70-100 range...

they used to make our flight attendants memorize all of them in training, doubt they’re capable these days

Just MSY and I assume BTR. I don’t travel much.

Off the top of my head
ORD, IAH, ATW, HOU, MSY, TPA, MKE, GRB
I should know a lot more with how much I have played flight simulator.

Awesome.
I just meant the code doesn't match O'Hare or Chicago.

Only because I literally just got off a plane this morning. Hartford Connecticut is BDL. Atlanta is ATL.
Don't ask me about anymore.
