Some are really easy because of the location.

ATL
LAX
BTR
SFO
OAK
DEN
MSP
SLC
SEA

Others because of the airport name.

JFK
LGA

Some because I fly there often enough.

IAH
MSY
TYS

Also GFY EAD LOL

Seems like they could have updated from Moisant Stock Yards by now.

MSY has to be the weirdest, followed by IAD

O'Hare doesn't match the city name or the airport name.

Due to booking award flights and needing to know various routes using multiple alliances it is quite a few.

Hmmm. In Tennessee: BNA, MEM, TYS, CHA, CSV

Elsewhere: HSV, ATL, DTW, SYR, PIT, BUF, JFK, LGA, EWR, ORD, CMI, MKE, MCI, IAH, IAD, DCA, PHL, BWI, BOS, DEN, SEA, LAX, SFO, PHX, MSY, MIA, MCO, CLT.

Abroad: LHR and LGW

I may have gotten a couple of those wrong, but I know around 30.

Worked for a company headquartered out of Toronto for many years and flew there a lot. Finally looked it up one day. Had to do with radio stations they had 2 letters, the first Y is for “yes”. Weird they never redid their naming system for Canadian airports

I guess.

Always thought he died racing or doing stunts out there.

Family land or were the stockyards named after him?

I’ve always wondered why East Texas Regional in Longview has the code GGG. I know it was formerly named Gregg County Airport, maybe GCA was already taken

It's not just a Rush song on the Moving Pictures album.

I think Newark is EWR.
MCI and MCO were always strange to me.

ORD is another one like MSY. Orchard Field was the name of O'Hare back in the day, before Butch was awarded the MOH.

Is he the one that kept ducking Elliott Ness? I didn’t know Capone had more than one accountant.

It is ORD because it was on Orchard Road.
