With no JC football left in Arizona, 11 players file lawsuit alleging ‘racial bias’

That left the state with zero junior college football teams.
The impact was far-reaching, including prompting 11 MCCCD football players to file suit alleging that the move violates federal law because African-American students, who make up 62 percent of players at the four schools, are disproportionately impacted by it. Attorney Phillip A. Austin, who is representing the plaintiff, will hold a news conference today in his Mesa law office to address the issue.
“Not only did the decision negatively impact the Plaintiffs’ educational opportunities but the decision negatively affects educational opportunities for district African-American students at a rate 10 times that of the rate at which non-African-American students in the district are affected,” Austin said in a news release citing “racial bias” about the suit filed Dec. 31 in U.S. District Court in Phoenix.

So they're saying blacks are great at football and that's their only educational opportunities??
As if they can only go to college cuz they're good at a game... and that's cuz they're black??
So they can't get an education now??
Yet, each college has their own admission standards, but some how their skin color and preferred choice of game to play matters more??

Hispanics don’t appear to be suing over this. Yet.
I guess that they can still get tryouts to Mexican football (soccer) clubs.

I hope those players in junior college can pay well, because if that attorney is doing this for free, he’s going to be wasting a lot of time.

Seems to me that there are 2 very simple solutions for this:
1. Become a good enough football player/student that a 4 year school is an option
2. Go to a JC out of state.
But no. Let’s sue. That’s easier. May not be effective, but who cares. It’s easier than solving our own problem.

This quasi-legalistic term being accepted in our courts, legislatures, and universities as having any rational merit was the cypress root that got under the wall of logical and coherent jurisprudence, causing it a significant crack.
