Getting very light precipitation in Madisonville right now; just a mist really. We haven't had much rainfall to speak of since this afternoon. I wonder if the lack of rain for half the day will help any potential snow stick? Breeze coming in at about 10 mph. I guess it is just a waiting game to see if it gets cold enough. My weather gauge has it currently at 41.

The Weather Channel app has taken out snow/sleet on the hourly forecast; just rain. Lowest temp expected is 34. I hope the bastards are wrong or the kids will be pissed.

EDIT: Just a few minutes after posting this, the rain started to pick up.

Sitting up with my youngest who is too excited to sleep watching GoTG and waiting for one little snowflake. Covington near Folsom. Light rain so far.

I’m in Madisonville as well. Thought I heard some sleet hitting. Went outside, temperature has dropped in the last half hour and I felt some light sleet for a minute or two mixed with the rain and the rain is picking up so hopefully it drops the mid level cold enough to see some snow.

I live 3 miles east of Ponchatoula off of Hwy 22. I just got back from town and I did't see any sleet or mix, just rain.

Models are still showing ponchatoula and Madisonville inside the “snow zone” starting around 3 am....guess it’s time for me to take a quick nap

Definitely raining at a decent clip off of brightside. When I look in the light it looks like I can see some tiny flurries floating around. But I could be wrong.
