I don't know Even the drier runs today dropped 0.20 - 0.30" of QPF on Baton Rouge with temps below freezing. So even the drier runs today would be a mess for Baton Rouge.

However, the RAP (one of the short range models) is picking up on a slot of dry air / poor lift that is right over BTR, almost like a dry slot. It is placing the better precipitation NW of BTR and over New Orleans. Mesoscale (small scale) features like that are really hard to predict and can come and go without reason from one run to the next.

After him now saying that it will be mostly dry tomorrow I expect blizzard conditions.
