Window Tint on Vehicles

Ever since I got my license and first car over 30 years ago, I noticed that kids from their teens and into early 20s want their windows tinted dark. Darker than regulations permit. As can be expected, kids who drive around with "illegal" tint get ticketed for it. They either get pulled over for their tint, or get the charge added on to another violation. Most people I know who have been ticketed for a tint violation (dozens) have been ticketed multiple times. They can also not really afford it.
Sure, it looks great on your nice truck or little hot rod. But it's a cop magnet. "Experienced" (read: old fricks like me) people tell these kids not to do it for the reasons I have outlined above. However, they still do it. They still get ticketed way more than the average person.
It's kid of like, Man: "Doc, my back hurts when I do this!" Doc: "Well, then, don't do that!"
Why do kids insist on tinting their windows so dark when they KNOW they will get ticketed for it?
I just think it's stupid, stupid, stupid.
You may now leave my lawn.

How are the babes suppose to check me out if I get my car tinted?

Isn't there some posting guideline about not posting random shite that pops into your head?

Darker window tint looks better. Keeps the interior cooler, the sun is bright down here. I've never seen a cop car in louisiana that didn't have "illegal tint" on it btw.

It actually reads "every random thought". I only post the really lame ones.

I never understood why shops are willing to put illegal tint on cars. The cops should put the clamps down on the shops and the problem would be solved. It's for the cops safety.

To answer the now bolded question:
Because it looks good. That's why I did it.
I never got pulled over until DTL started killing women in BR.

I'm 29, have 0% all the way around my truck, never once been asked about it by police... Although I do have a medical exemption so a ticket wouldn't happen regardless.

Every car I have ever own I have gotten 15% tint in every window. Never once was I pulled over because of tint. I never was told anything about it when pulled over for speeding. I highly doubt police are out looking for illegal tint. Hell they don't even enforce the dumb asses who cruise in the left lane creating unnecessary traffic.

Gingervitis?
Seriously though the tint is finally melting off my 9 year old car. I'll probably replace it because it is nice for reducing glare and fap driving.
