Does anyone know Hayes and Will's proximity to the hummer when Hayes followed them and shot them? I swear here's some basic fricking answers to get and we are 5 deep in witnesses already still confused as shite about the confrontations

they apparently pointed it out on a board in court, but none of the reporters ever mentioned.

I don't think any of the lawyers believe their clients. I'm not a lawyer so I know I'm talking out my arse. But is there a full script of the trial other than tweets

seems like we aren't getting the whole story

my thought is that unless a witness or witnesses come out and say something about smith claiming he was going for a gun that hayes will be convicted.

this is why you dont run your mouth and never talk to the police in these types of situations. had they not talked I feel like he would be in a good position with all the inconsistencies from the smith camp and it clearly being shown that they were the aggressors at the scene.

The friends you keep can get you into or out of trouble. In this case Will Smith chose poorly in the friend department. Sad that him and his wife couldn't at least get their testimony straight.

I may have missed it but I havent seen where there has been testimony to that assertion.

No. A "long-distance", "long-range" or "ranged" weapon includes firearms. A "short-distance" or "short-range" weapon is one used in hand-to-hand combat and/or one limited to close range effectiveness. Like a knife, sword or hand grenade.

Word. The independent witnesses are key in this one since the interested/biased ones are all over the fricking place.

Not necessarily. Part of managing the case is putting on the evidence that doesn't necessarily help you in order to show transparency and that you're just giving the facts. Being able to say "remember who called him. We did, not Mr. Fuller" always, always draws nods from jurors.

Also, remember they're not just calling random witnesses. There's an order, and there's a lot of reason for why certain people are being called at certain times. That's why the "it's over!" stuff after a single statement by a witness just really doesn't work at all....regardless of what side you're on.

At the end of the day, as in many cases, this is gonna come down to Fuller's close and her rebuttal. Fuller is very emotional and effective, though I do sometimes think it's a bit over the top (for me, but I'm not the average juror). Rodrigue is among the best to ever do a rebuttal in the building. Another bit of unusual dynamic will be that Jason Napoli will be able to push a bit harder than usual on his first close since the threat of Fuller waiving closing arguments in this case is zero. People that believe that what you're seeing day to day is what wins/loses cases in that building are wrong. The way it's packaged at the end is simply everything, particularly after a 5+ day, 20+ witness trial, and you really have the best of the best here.
