Same. Just dropped over $400 there today for my teenage girls back to school clothes. It’s the only store she wanted.
Place was packed and line for register out the door.

A few fatties and uggos complaining on the internet will not equal a boycott or result in protest of anything meaningful.

Does anyone actually wear AE? I remember in Jr High that you had batter be wearing AE polos but that was like circa 2003. Not hating AE, just figured AE, Hollister, etc… went the wayside back in the day.

They got rid of coleslaw, the cheap bastards.
For years I’ve told people how I remembered getting fries and coleslaw with my CFA combo back in the day. Everyone looks at me like I’m crazy and says they don’t remember that. I was starting to think it was a Mandela effect.

My son‘s girlfriend works at the American Eagle here in the mall, and she said they’ve been sold out of jeans for two days

I had no idea what any of this was about, so I asked google:
What in the actual hell. I’m done with the internet for the day.
And I’m still so very confused.

AI Overview
The American Eagle ad campaign featuring Sydney Sweeney sparked controversy due to its "great genes" tagline and the perceived sexualization of the actress in the ads. Some viewers found the campaign racially insensitive and suggestive of eugenics, while others criticized the focus on Sweeney's body and its potential connection to domestic violence awareness campaigns.

Great to now live in a country where parents war for culture by which mall shop they make their kids buy Chinese jeans for school.

I dont think anyone buying American Eagle gives enough of a shite to boycott them.
I haven't been to AE in over 20 years.
Think I'll make a visit soon.

You don’t seem to understand how the internet works. People write articles like this to get clicks. Then it’s amplified by bots and posters on this site talk about it to try to characterize “the libs” as extreme. The inverse happens on more liberal sites.
Meanwhile no one in real life gives a damn about anything like this

The people boycotting AE never shopped there anyway. Much about nothing.

Measuring and quantifying outrage is hard. You can measure and quantify American Eagle's sales, but it leaves out the number of people rallying behind American Eagle, like the dads on here who just bought a bunch of American Eagle back to school stuff.

You can still find the "secret recipe" on any of the copycat recipe sites. Show that to your doubters.
