Will private schools take a big hit next school year?

A lot of people are unemployed right now or will be in danger as a lot of businesses are being shut down. This has to hurt private schools for a lot of parents who work their arse off who won’t be able to afford it now.

Very well could be the case. There will be an unfortunate ripple effect on the economy.

Depends on where they are located.
I wouldn't think too many people who have lost their jobs recently, are paying for kids to go to private school.
I could see some small business owners getting hurt.
If/when they start laying off doctors, engineers, or even plant baws, this could be an issue.

In the New Orleans Area, 2 income lower middle class families will send their kids to Catholic School to avoid the public schools. I could see people in those situations having to choose public school after this.

Ive seen some chatter that private schools should prepare for a 20 percent cut in revenue for next year.

Part of me thinks if you send your kid to private school you are probably working for home and aren’t too worried about your hours being cut. But then again, entire economy is impacted.

the ones on shaky financial ground may not survive, some may have to get creative, the others won't notice much. private schools are a rapidly shrinking demographic
