And when all the competitors do the exact same thing?
This is why the whole Free Market excuse is total BS. If everyone is throttling stuff it doesn't give the consumer choices other than to pick the less shitty company. Areas that have municipal broadband or Google Fiber will likely see major exoduses away from the cable companies. I wish BR would invest in municipal broadband.

Or they pick the company that says we will not throttle. We think you should have access to any content you want at the same speed of our content.
If it were my company, this is what I would do. Let others throttle, your business will explode.

Disney is already pulling their content and with them buying Fox, you can kiss the Fox content goodbye as well.
What material are they pulling? Last I checked there are still Marvel movies and shows plus Star Wars material.

Google seems pretty committed to picking up the slack of folks who don't want to be throttled. Will probably switch to them if Uverse tries to pull some shite.

alot of people don't understand how competition works.
It's simple, we kill the competition...
Who wants competition? Big cable tries outlawing municipal broadband in Kansas

Blows my mind how liberal millenials can't grasp this basic economic concept. ISPs were just given the power to shoot themselves in the eye. That doesn't mean they will.

Cox tried to kill LUS Fiber in Lafayette but only delayed it. LUSFiber is now expanding in to Broussard and Youngsville. They also said they will not throttle or create streaming packages.

There just aren't that many competitors.
Correct. That is the problem. Capitalism can only work when there is unfettered, fair and equitable competition. Without it you have monopolies or collusion.
I love the free market(Im a M. Friedman kind of guy) and Im almost always against government intrusion and regulation but in certain situations, in order to preserve our founding economic principals, regulation is necessary. If we didnt have regulation of our monopolistic power companies we would all have $1000 electric bills. Certain industries, by their very nature, are limited to monopolies. Without regulation, its either $1000 electric bills or this....

AT&T already slowed my shite WAY down and I am grandfathered under the old unlimited data plan. So please forgive me if I call BS that NN will have anything to do with this...
