I personally think all drugs should be legal for recreational use. Remove the black market and you take out a great deal of the problems involved. But we all know that will never happen because too much money and too many careers ride upon illicit drug use and dealers.

FRom what i heard it wasnt really a fair award procedure.

IIRC it was up to a vote and some of the licenses were awarded to people who didn’t win the votes. Or something like that.

You've seen the videos of the tests they run on monkeys right? The ones where they pick cocaine and other drugs over food 100% of the time. That would be society if they had access to coke, crack, meth, heroine, etc... It would be chaos and anarchy.

Weed is cool because you still want to eat some food and be a decent human being.

Once it’s decriminlaized at the federal level, I think eventually it gets done in all the states

DEA and the FDA have dug their heels in on this issue. It will take congress for this to happen and unfortunately right now there are too many of the "old guard" still hanging around to do anything about it.

On the plus side it would be easier to identify the percentage of the population that have the mental equivalency of Monkeys.

Sounds like Darwinism at work. Why do you hate Darwin?

Society already has access to all those things. Most people don't use them because they're not stupid. Would you buy crack just because it was legal?

I would rather my cousin take helpful pills lovingly crafted by a doctor on a clean lab for his disease than to smoke a nasty plant grown by dirty cartel Mexicans

Yes. Louisiana embraces debauchery as part of our culcha.

Next question.

The governor and legislators are always looking for tax money. I’m sorta surprised they haven’t already legalized it. Then I remind myself most of them are so politically retarded that they can’t decide if they should cross a street.

It wouldn't be any worse than it is now. Alcohol is far more dangerous than any drug but you have been conditioned to believe that it's not because it's legal.

If LA could give everything north of Ville Platte and Lake Charles to Texas it would be legalized already.
