I think of it more as a drug festival that's generous enough to provide live music

OMG. You mean there are people who go out and listen to a bunch of bands who might take drugs. What is this world coming to?

During the 60s people would have never done something this crazy.

A buddies wife (take it for what it’s worth) is claiming that the insurance company notified officials this week that they were pulling out.

Yes

Covid only kills people over 70 and you have to be older than 70 to go to Jazzfest

We can’t take that risk

It’s two months out.

The first day of Jazz Fest is in 47 days. That's considerably less than 2 months. I'm sure they're hoping to make an announcement in the next month which means they are planning now.

SXSW was cancelled because the sponsors pulled out because of the virus. Hopefully, the Jazz Feast group realizes the sensationalist press is at at it again. The majority of the sponsors are local, so maybe they will step up if the National guys like Shell, Lite or Acura bow out. Let the customers decide with ticket sales.

They have been pretty level headed about this from what I'm hearing from people who work from them. They haven't cancelled international travel, meetings, etc.

That could all change of course, but it's a good sign for now.
