Have you ever visited The Woodlands? If so, you would know the primary difference immediately.
It would take several St. Georges to carve out a Woodlands here.
There is no longer even an Uptown in NO.

Just move to Youngsville or Broussard

You were bashing Shenadoah earlier. Idk what that's about. I have two co-workers who live there and have no plans to move. I drive thru every now and then and it looks the same to me.
I lived there late 90's to 2002. I drove through when I came to the Florida football game last year. It is definitely NOT the same. The whole area is different and not like it used to be.

Downtown is going to save Baton Rouge!
IBM will make it like Houston. The trolley will be just like San Francisco. The Water Campus will be fabulous!
Wow, what a place!

I lived there from 1986 until 2009. Parents still live there and I go visit about 10-12 times a year. I agree. A lot of the houses in the neighborhood look like shite. It isn't even close to the same as it was 20 years ago.

Repetitive sentence is repetitive.

The two aren't even close to comparable. The Woodlands is just a planned community that has exploded in size. It's a suburb where Baton Rouge is the main city.

Hey guys, I currently live in The Woodlands, and I also work in the The Woodlands.
Feel free to ask questions.
Full disclosure - I have previously lived in Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Dallas, Lafayette, and New York.

Nope, to many naggers..... That's all people want to do is nag, nag, nag!! If they would quit being naggers and start contributing to BR it would help, but never a Woodlands....

Actually, please don't. There's already starting to be too many people here. Worst is most of them are from out of town and think they have to drive the posted speed limit

Lafayette will before Baton Rouge
I have lived my whole life in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Make regular trips for work to Laffy and New Orleans.
Lafayette really is moving in a positive direction. Yes, Oilfield trash and New Iberia haircuts, and all they are making positive change that Baton Rouge has not. Thank God we have the capital and LSU. Hopefully this will turn, but the ship is headed for an iceberg. Nuclear Option for Education and a Loop, please...

My point being, Baton Rouge has almost zero to offer in entertainment, dinning, and nightlife.

No city in louisiana could ever be like the woodlands for one reason: infrastructure. I was absolutely floored by how well laid out the area was, with interconnected divided 4 and 6 lane highways, seamless service roads along the interstates, and a congruous layout that made the area "feel" rural even though it's strip mall city.
Unless prarieville, mandeville, or denham tripped and fell into an endless supply of money and possessed some highly competent urban planners, creating "the woodlands" simply isn't feasible. We can go on and on about culture, education, demographics, and median income, but what really makes the woodlands work is infrastructure. No city in louisiana even approaches the level of well laid out infrastructure that the woodlands possesses.

Actually it does, despite being in the suburbs. However, most of it's fine dining are chains, but there are some really good chains like Morton's Steakhouse out there. Is it a cultural mecca? No, but it does have fine dining, good schools, a decent bar scene, tons of jobs, nice neighborhoods, and exceptional infrastructure

Jesus Christ. You clearly have absolutely NO clue what you are talking about. Maybe you should look the Woodlands up before you look like a retard.
