I just had a deep tissue massage last week, not something I want to do again.

If you can feel pain travel down your arm it may be a pinched nerve in the c7 veterbrae. Go see a chiropractor. Muscle relaxers won't do anything and pain killers just mask it plus can get you addicted.

No, not the same issue.
However, it goes to show that you just never know.
I'll say a prayer for those involved in that situation.

Deep tissue. Seriously
Just saw that you already did. Go to the doctor then.

Go see a chiropractor.
I could also recommend a good acupuncturist, or perhaps a bloodletter to help you rid yourself of evil spirits.

I just looked up your symptoms on WebMD.
I'm sorry, but you have cancer.

You can now see a PT (in LA) without having a Drs order, call and see if you can get in today, after they evaluate you they will be able to tell you if they can do you some good or if you need to see a MD

If it is one specific spot you can get a trigger point injection of steroid and lidocaine. We do them at my clinic. You can probably call around and see who will do it.

What type of doctor should i see for lower back pain? Possible disc issue...

Is it a physical "knot" that you can pinch between your fingers or more like an area of soreness in a muscle?

I could tell you I had similar symptoms the OP had and already went to a doctor and a chiropractor. The chiropractor is the way to go. I had a pinched nerve in the C7 veterbrae. I felt 10 times better after that visit which I couldn't say when I went to the doctor and was given muscle relaxers before seeing a chiropractor.

Possible disc issue.
Initially your primary care doctor. Further evaluation would include things like an MRI (X rays really don't show disc issues unless it's severe) and maybe a referral to a pain specialist for injections or a neurosurgeon depending on severity.

I love the OT. Perfect combo of good advice and smartass responses. Didn't expect anything less.
I'll try to get into a clinic today and see what they can do.

Need more info. Any numbness? Any radiating pain to arms? Any muscle loss of control? Any loss grip strength?
