Right? If the the Fed would drop rates back down to 2.5% tomorrow, inflation would plummet and the price of oil would go back to negative bbl. I don't get it either.

Kamala and her kind caused most of the suffering the couple are experiencing. Yes, the man needs to man up and provide...he's a cuck for sure, but they also need to realize that if they want to continue to struggle economically, keep voting for the progressive party. They will never be able to own anything.

dropping the rates in 2020 was a major reason for the pricing boom in housing. March 2020 rate drop was the greatest government handout white collar homeowners will ever receive.
not that the fed rates have anything to do with who is office (in theory)

And shouldn’t rates be higher still?
I don’t want to vote for anyone who is lobbying for lower rates.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they found their taxes and insurance to be much higher than they anticipated.
But I agree with the overall sentiment of the thread concerning the couple though. You should never look to the government, especially the President, to help you out of such an individualized problem.

He probably pays for and watches his wife get railed by other men.

Well that's mean. A couple in their late 30s++ shouldn't have to live with Nana.

nowhere did they say their mortgage was unaffordable for them

Sure they should. You can’t simultaneously agitate for Progressive policies and then lament that they ruined your life. You can’t vote for Democrats and cultural Marxism and then act butthurt when they give you exactly the Failburger it always gives you.

While that is a good point, I was more pissed at the banks who massively contributed to the issue getting bailed out while I was suffering. I switched to Independent not long after and stopped rooting for the GOPe. Sadly I still had to vote for McCain and Romney back in the day. I'm sure you did too.

beats pissing money away on rent
wish I swallowed my pride and lived with my parents after college. I don't want to count the tens of thousands I spent renting in my 20s.

So , who are you voting for this time?
Ditto. Too big to fail. That’s when I knew it was OVER. And I was also suffering at that time due to a business failure where there was no bailout.

Hold up. No joke, tell everyone what you mean here. And don't hold back. I'll have yours if you do

And, oh. I'm not voting in November. At least for a soul in a congressional or national sense. Zip.

The big Banks sub prime mortgage shell game collapsed. GWB, fresh off spending trillions and 5k American boys and a million humans total to save humanity from Saddam Hussein , decided to eliminate ALL business moral hazard and bail billion dollar banks out to ensure the annual bonuses would continue in earnest. That part?

"Madam Vice President, I'm a fricking douchebag and my wife participates in gangbangs at work. What is your plan for me?"

Idiot woman: "And here we are and our mortgage is incredibly higher than we thought it would be..."
Don't you know what your mortgage is when you sign up for it?
There are simple rules of thumb to figure out if you can afford a mortgage payment before you commit.
This couple was obviously living beyond their means and should have lived with their parents longer or bought a cheaper home.

You're there. On it. Now, go back to 1913, then onto the Council on Foreign Relations in 1921. Follow the universal currency, the dollar, and ask yourself why it's down 98% since WWII.
This inflation and interest rate red meat today has shite on our parent's, PaPaws and their Dads. Don't fall for it.
