Palestinians elected Hamas back in 2006. They haven't allowed elections since. When you elect terrorists to run you, you suffer consequences.

As far as Aaron Mate's post, both of those things are undoubtedly true.
You know why?
Because Hamas almost certainly took all of the food and supplies for their "soldiers."
It's what they've been doing for 35 years. They've siphoned off every bit of aid that anybody has ever sent them to use to try to kill Israelis.
You know why the entire civilian infrastructure has been destroyed?
Because Hamas deliberately hides among the civilian infrastructure. Their military headquarters is under a civilian hospital.
You know why?
Because they know that middle class people in GB and Canada and America who's biggest problem is that the dry cleaners ruined their favorite shirt will not understand that they are directly responsible for the civilian casualties and want to make Israel stop seeking the retribution that they so richly deserve. It's a tactic that they have used since their inception.

It's not going to work. Israel has a limit and Hamas exceeded the limit on Oct 7th. I don't think Israel will stop now until Hamas no longer exists, and I don't blame them.
Adjusting for the population of Israel, if that attack had been against the United States there would have been roughly 100,000 Americans killed. If we didn't eradicate the internationally recognized terrorist group responsible for that then shame on us.
And remember, Hamas could stop this today. All they have to do is surrender.
