Over 2 weeks = we are in for scary times with many small and large businesses potentially never coming back
I saw small business in my area out for Hurricane harvey for 6-12 months and they came back.

Ever heard of business interruption insurance?
Doesn’t apply in this instance

Just curious. What kinds of businesses were out that long?

This indicates to me that with the economy being slowed down to a halt, there is going to be an abundance of bankruptcies and layoffs on the horizon.
No shite. Major depression event is very much in play.

Guessing you don't have much invested.. my brokerage account has taken a beating recently. Even with a bounce back it may take years to recover lost $$. Lots of retirements will be postponed I would think.

I’m pretty sure it was PeeJ and OweO that told everyone things would blow over and everything would be okay in a couple weeks.

You think a major depression is in play even with the strong economy we had not even a month ago?

Do you doubt that now?
I don't know what to do. Im so confused. I don't think the economy will bounce back, but I also didn't assure you that it would. And if I already doubted the bounce back 2 weeks ago, why would I have assured you then?
Or was this rhetorical? Cuz its not, really

The irony in this is that people that actually work and contribute (the producers) are the ones getting hammered and those that rely on the government tit (parasites) are still getting paid.
If you are going to shut down businesses that actually pay taxes and provide employment, then, it only right to cut off welfare checks, right?
This is simply punish the responsible and reward the irresponsible.

Restaurants, locally. Some that didn't have flood insurance.

The goal posts all over on this thing keeps moving. We now go to May 1 when it was April 13. Now they are saying the virus can go undetected for a month and a half.
Fauci and Birx should be told that they are on the clock.
