Because they don't believe in gender equality. The same goes for EEO representatives and "diversity" officers. One of the commands I was with chose a white man to be our EEO representative. A few, overly vocal, black women in our unit went ape shite claiming he wasn't qualified. They were told to pound sand because they didn't bother to apply for the job.
