Why I don't order from door dash

I don't trust regular motherfrickers with my food, they atleast have to take the food safety course at the wic office

That’s the number one reason I hate using it. We use it as a family but I don’t like it ever. I’d rather just go pick it up.

I have considered tipping cash on delivery. I never have for this reason. Wouldn’t the driver benefit more from cash.

I don’t use door dash because the last time I did, my meal total was like $20. shite was nearly $40 after taxes, fees and a tip.

Yep, and then the driver stops along the way to deliver another order. I do my best to cancel at that point. frick getting cold food and who knows what else on it now that I’ve read this thread.

I don’t use door dash but I would absolutely tip if I did as it seems very logical that the service of some random driving my food to me is worthy of a tip and also in my best interest. The arrangement is pretty clear from the get go- they are gonna bring your shite, as like a 4th party to this transaction from point A to my house. I realize door dash is getting theirs straight off the top and don’t give a shite about these independent contractors and these people are living on tips - if you want to be a cheap frick in this scenario then I think I’m fine with them AC blasting your food. I’d tip 20% just like in a restaurant.

If you want your food quickly then tip a few extra bucks. This way your order will be accepted almost immediately and the driver will likely be there at the restaurant before your food is ready. When you dont tip on the app it never gets picked up and then its likely to get paired up with another order so you will be waiting even longer.
