I continue to see threads regarding how much of a sacrifice it is if one is forced to drive a minivan.

As one who has been a certified brand specialist for both Porsche and Audi and a retired realtor, I have driven large German luxury sedans for the last 25 years

In my current avocation I regularly drive a Honda Odyssey minivan transporting my two granddaughters aged 6 and eight.

Honda is the unchallenged leader of the minivan
segment.

Side opening power doors are THE BOSS!

If I were to retire and go back into real estate this would continue to be my vehicle of choice. The access to all spacious Captains Chair seating is superior the ride is quite smooth and quiet.

It is not a sportscar but it is unsurpassed as a people hauler for passengers of any age.

Rear seat controls for climate control, lighting and and ez one handed switch from cargo space to hidden seating.

Warning:This vehicle won't embellish your image.
If you need a vehicle that impresses others....

I'm not sure they ever wanted to drive them. There's just a leadership crisis at the top of the family now.

Nope. No kids either but I understand practicality.

Mini-vans are much more practical, efficient, comfortable and safer than the SUVs.
Unless you are actually going off-road or pulling a trailer, the Mini-van is better...

But advertisements have been pushing the SUVs for years now. and advertising works.

Just had our 3rd and we are going all in on the minivan. A toddler seat and baby seat make it tough on the 7 yr old getting in and out. Wouldn’t do it with only 2 though.

No woman wants to be seen pulling up to the 50 shades of gray motel in a minivan.

Honda's current reliability woes make that more of a questionable statement.

Love our Sienna. Also have a Highlander. Quick trips we get in mine but if we’re traveling it’s usually the van.

For years I teased my sister that one day she would wind up with a minivan and she said it would never happen. Now they have 2 kids and 2 Golden Retrievers and she'd definitely consider a minivan but her husband refuses to buy one. One of the Goldens is 13 years old and it'd be easier for her to get her into a minivan than into an SUV with a higher floor.

The best are the dudes who refuse to drive a mini-van. How insecure can a man be and still be considered a man?

Minivans are practical. Women are not. Voila.

Most SUVs are practically minivans anyway but women don’t understand that.

I laugh at a these people thinking they're driving an "SUV" or "crossover". No, you're driving a station wagon.

This site is filled with some of the most insecure people I've ever seen.

Our second one was a Nissan Quest. It was definitely nice. I don't even think Nissan advertises them.
