Why don't women hold the door if they're walking in/out?

I know that I hold the door for women both in and out... but it's like it never even crosses their mind when they're going through a door to hold the door for either a man or another woman.

I'm not incapable of handling a fricking door, but the lack of societal courtesy is astounding.

Women want to have and eat their cake man... Feminism AND princess treatment are a must.

Most women have no idea what's happening around them.

That all I could come up with too...

It happens to me on the regular... every day... I'm walking behind a woman leaving the building and she doesn't even 'pretend' like she's thinking about anyone walking behind her.

Southern women are taught to be princesses and then queens. Up here everyone holds the door for everyone, or everyone lets the door slam in everyone's face.

Because women don't think of anyone but themselves. It's why men will always be ahead of them. We earn the respect of our community, they only earn its disdain.

Never really noticed this to be the case

Some do. If I had to guess not that many fewer women hold open doors for people in general than men. There are simply a bunch of rude frickers out there whose parents didn't raise them right.

This. I hold the door but I often times see men who don't hold the door either.

i always hold the door for whoever is behind me, and if someone walks through without saying "thank you," i make it a point to say "you're welcome!"

most will then say "thank you."

I'm assuming there was supposed to be a "don't" in this sentence.

Ask yourself were the recipients of said door holding outside the range of acceptable 'door holding'?

i.e. you turn around to hold the door and see someone outside of 10 steps, frick them... I'm not waiting on you.

You're right. I fixed it.

No to your second part. They just walk through the door without looking behind them.

My best guess as well.

Also why don't women move the hell out of the way in crowded areas?
