Why though? What difference does chest size make?
A lot of clothing looks bad on large-chested women.

Pretty bras aren't really made for women who actually NEED the support. Much of what Victoria's sells is push ups and dress up bras. A women with big tits, needs underwire support and a supportive bra.
This too. The big boob "community" (yes, it's a thing) berate the hell out of VS. Their bras don't work for people with boobs. And their sizing is horrendous. And their employees are worse.

I am sure it is hard for you to find Jr Miss sized clothing that has room for your melons.

Just fwiw, no way their body fat is 6%. We just had this conversation at work where some of us have to have our body fat percentage taken. There's a chick about 5'2 and 90 pounds and her body fat is 15% +. She said that was low enough that her health insurance was charging her for being to skinny. Women are just built differently.
I was coming to post this. A woman with 6% body fat would be not only emaciated, but more than likely on the verge of starvation.
Even fitness models and world class female body builders seldom dip into the single digits of body fat percentage.

quote:
Body Fat Picture Descriptions Of Women
Body Fat Percentage Women 10-12%
This is an extremely low body fat level typically attained by female bodybuilders. Essential fat for women is round 8-10% compared to 2% for men. Why the difference? Women have more fat in breast tissue and the area surrounding the uterus. This level of body fat is not considered safe, or healthy for women who will be unable to menstruate. Striations of muscle, separation between muscles, clear vascularity are all noticeable at this level. The women in the photo is likely at the higher end of the range at 12% body fat because she is not too vascular.
Body Fat Percentage Women 15-17%
This is still considered a very low body fat for women, which is similar to the 6-7% body fat for range men. Many bikini and fitness models will reach this body fat level and some may not be able to menstruate. Muscle definition in the abs, legs, arms, and shoulders is apparent, there is some vascularity and some separation between muscles. Hips, buttocks, and thighs generally have a little less shape because of the low body fat.
Body Fat Percentage Women 20-22%
This is body fat percentage is usually in the “fit” category of most body fat charts and is typical of many female athletes. Some definition in the abs is apparent, there is body fat on the arms and legs, but it’s not too pronounced. There is minimal, but some separation between muscles.

I'm often asked about body fat percentage and what magazines might be looking for versus competion? Truthfully, body fat is a good personal measure to help someone measure their goals but the same percentage of body fat on two different individuals can look very different depending on muscle mass. Right now, I am somewhere around 20 to 22% body fat. That's an estimate because my measurements were taken with calipers and consistency and accuracy are very hard to achieve with this method. If the skin isn't pinched in exactly the same spot and with the same density for each pinch, the numbers will vary. Factor in hormones and water weight and the best you can do is get close to a realistic body fat percentage. With that said, for me personally, I would usually maintain anywhere from 12 to 15% body fat for shoots and when I was competing, I would ask the promoters how lean they were wanting the competitors to come in because it varies from show to show. Depending on their answer, I might try to get down as low as possible or hover at a percentage where I looked slightly softer yet full. Body fat measurements and the mirror are great tools for tracking personal progress but I wouldn't obsess over reaching a specific number. Perception of a fit body will always be subjective.

Probably one of the most unappreciated comments I've seen on here

Unfortunately, being close to the fashion industry myself, the designers hate women with large breasts. I've seen fashion designers lose their shite at rehearsal because they needed a replacement model at the last second and all that was available was a large chested woman. The designer wore it himself instead.
The large breasts completely throw off what they have designed for (tall, skinny, and extremely long legs). Large breasts essentially create a large baggy mass of clothing right at the center of the body making the clothes look entirely unappealing to the fashion world.
***Rembering this is specifically about VS. VS sells clothes via the model. Everyone else does the opposite. That's why you can remember VS models names but don't know any others in the fashion world.

All the better reason why such models should be wearing bikinis instead.
