Your memory may suffer if you're a habitual user, but I've read that it bounces back when use is discontinued.
I was stoned basically for 5 years straight at LSU and let me tell you that shite affects your memory 100%. I still smoke (much much less) and when I feel like my memory is starting to get a little shaky I quit and it bounces back in a week or two.
Ill never forget when I first really took a break and I noticed how much my memory improved over the course of a month. Like you said it should still be illegal for kids to use which I agree with 100% which is why I think if it was legalized it would be easier to keep out of kids hands.

You say that. But 10 years down the road. It'll be part of the egg/wine/coffee morning news rotation.

Just an observation.
My 83 year old Mother and all her friends are taking CBD now. After a lifetime of "Marijuana is bad",all these 80+ year old women are using a product that is derived from Marijuana.
But as an interesting sidenote ... Ever seen the old B&W pics of the 1800's early 1900's Society Women at their teas? Go back and look closely on the tables and in their hands. What you'll see is a bunch of tincture bottles. Yep, your maternal ancestors were getting high as a kite off cannabis infused tea.

Are we talking about today's weed or that stuff from the 90s? Isn't there a difference now? I'm surprised weed speeds up the heart, thought if anything it slows it down? Maybe it's like cigarettes where I know the nicotine constricts your vessels, maybe weed does that also?

Pot heads are generally a trashy bunch.

All it took was a simple google search.
Marijuana may reduce risk of AFib(
Seems like it actually slows the heart rate down.
But muh increased heart rate!

Exercising can temporarily increase your heart rate. By a lot.

A little exercise will cure most of life's ailments, but everyone's too lazy to do something that actually works.

like cigarettes or alcohol? thread is dumber than hell dude
Well alcohol doesn’t increase your heart rate or blood pressure. You’re not gonna die if you introduce a stimulant or had other heart issues.

Well yes, caffeine is a stimulant and will raise all the same things as cannabis. But you will not see clinical affects up to 24 hours in caffeine, as you will see in cannabis.

I smoked for many years.
And will again when positive results wont get me fired.
I don't say smoking makes anyone "better".
Alcohol is worse in every aspect. Marijuana simply isn't the "devils drug" some make it out to be. Society would be better served by legalizing and taxing it.
IMHO

Marijuana ruined Aaron hernandez career and ultimately lead to his killing himself.

Marijuana is one of the "chosen" issues of today's climate. Anything negative is buried and positive effects such as the psychological benefits are amplified. No one wants to talk about the mind altering effects such as the possible relation of schizophrenia or psychosis.
Same reason you don't see negatives of universal healthcare and the positives of border patrol.

Are you serious? You must be kidding! Schizophrenia? Psychosis? We are talking about weed!!! Not bath salts, PCP, or that synthetic crap.
You come across as the guy that certainly needs to take a puff and relax! Geez

There are numerous, scholarly and peer-reviewed studies on it, man. And it isn't just synthetic or laced. Of course, affects can be acute or chronic. Some never have issues and that may be the case with yourself, but there are many cases where people have developed serious mental issues and suicidal thoughts and actions.
Is marijuana linked to psychosis, schizophrenia? It's contentious, but doctors, feds say yes.
