It's been covered by the news. The area being flooded is sparsely populated. Sucks for WV but you can't compare these floods to Katrina.

unfortunately its b/c hardly anyone cares about WV.
small population plus nothing of note that draws outsiders in for tourism = media no care.
if this was 60 years ago when tv news was a loss leader it would get much more coverage.
but now?
the free market says covering whatever stupid thing Trump just said makes you that $$$ so that's where the coverage goes.

I got that beat by a mile and I went through it twice in 40 days.
Plus, I don't have 60+ people for the clean-up process. I had 12.

I've seen it on the news for the pass two nights.

They have been.
Jesus Christ people want to feel so victimized. They've been fricking reporting about it for the last 2 fricking days.

Not sure, my best friend from HS was from Rainelle. They moved back there about 15 years ago. They didn't flood but many of his friends did.

It has been in every news segment I have watched on Fox since the flooding started.

You aren't watching ABC evening news. Well covered there.

Whoa, that's Greenbriar?

I did not even know there was a flood in West Virginia

I've been wondering the same thing. Very little news on a devastating situation.

What are you talking about? It's been on the nightly news several times. They did a whole story on it yesterday (NBC at least).

Nobody cares about us poor whites from Appalachia

Other than the fact that it's the some of the worst flooding in U.s. History with 20-something deaths.

Only affects poor to middle income white people. Nothing to see here.

Yeah, there are only a few hundred thousand people affected. Let's compare it to some flood that happened 11 fricking years ago that got lots of time on TV.
What an absolute arse.

Flooding has been at a catastrophic level for more than five days.
BTW, for the golfers, this is what Greenbrier golf courses looked like on the first day of flooding.
