I don't know if Lacombe's numbers are lumped into Mandeville's, but there are a couple of "rehab" facilities for perverts in Lacombe. Mainly a place for them to stay at when they cannot get an approved residence and get out of prison. They have to register with the Sheriff's office.

It appears most people didn’t attend MHS in the 80’s/ 90’s. Most of the coaches were rumored to be pedos, and the baseball coach actually went to jail for it. I took one of his Biology classes, and thought he was a fun teacher. My friend told me he hit on her, and I didn’t believe it at the time because he didn’t seem “like that” to my naive young self.
Rumor has it the principal (Coach Rob) was aware of the school’s coaches preying on female students and didn’t do anything about it.
The 90’s were a long time ago, but I could see a reputation like this attracting more pedos to the town.

Son of a family friend was charged with indecent exposure for taking a leak in a bar parking lot when he was in college. It took a non trivial amount in legal fees to keep it off his record.

I don’t remember any suicides back when I was doing time at MHS (very late 80’s to early mid 90’s), so that’s either before or after my time, but I’m not the least bit surprised. The rumored suspects back in my day were a pair of football coaches with the same last name and the above mentioned baseball coach. A quick google search turned up 2 more coaches as pedos in 2017, so apparently it’s still a problem there.
I got the heck out of Mandeville in the mid-90’s, and still hate driving through there to this day. If I had a daughter, I’d never send her to MHS.
Edit: And apparently MHS is a drug infested (and I don't mean weed; if you never smoked out at Prestress with your baws you missed out on life) hellhole now.
