i think the old Zero started to taste like regular coke but it lacked the bold aftertaste, the real sugar gave it. and this new coke zero closely replicates that. is it spot on, no. but it is closer.

I'm not fat, just grew up on a Navy base where they always ran out of Coke so my parents got hooked on DC and eventually, once I needed something to start mixing with Jim Beam, I grabbed their DC and got hooked myself.

I've been drinking Diet Rite for probably 20 years now. No caffeine and they sweeten it with Splenda instead of aspartame which tastes a hell of a lot better to me

I avoided Coke. At least the American version. Then my daughter pointed me to the ole-style Mexican Coca-Cola. I like the Mexican version of Coca-Cola more better. It's the Coca-Cola like I remember.

Same reason why all established brands are always tinkering with their products. To justify overblown salaries of people they employ. Coke probably paid millions of dollars to marketing teams doing studies that show red cans appeal more to a demographic that coke zero is less popular with.

I don’t know why it isn’t more prevalent for beverage companies to just reduce the sugar content instead of subbing with junk like aspartame. 10 grams of sugar versus 50 will taste pretty good
