I completely understand that. What I’m asking about is the people who purposely go out and make sure they are decked out so other people KNOW they are LSU fans (or Bama fans, etc). Like bringing a flag.

I didnt get the chance to go to LSU. So this is my chance to overcompensate and flaunt all my cheap crap I bought at Academy and Walmart.

I don’t realize that I own so much LSU and saints stuff until I pack to go on vacation. It’s okay to wear it around town but I hate wearing it on vacation. Last time we went to Branson I had a LSU titleist hat and about 10 people said “ geaux tigers” to me. I never respond. I usually act like I didn’t hear them

A huge number of Bama fans wear team gear everyday, regardless of where they are going. I've seen Bama clothing at funerals and upscale restaurants. Never has there been a fanbase whose personal identity is wrapped up in a sports team of a college that they never attended.

Yea, why bring an American Flag? Or in Texas, a Mexican flag?
Why do people put "Don't Mess With Texas" on their bumper? Or those South Carolina "Palmetto State" window stickers?
