Who’s checking the deadbeat dads that aren’t around in those kids lives?
For the ones where mom and dad are both in the lives and raising them awesome.
Those one where the mother is keeping the kid from the dad… for leverage, child support, whatever. The mom is a pos and kids need the dad in their life. More should be done there
For the ones where the dad just isn’t around and does nothing with/for the kid. That’s a pos dad and more should be done there. But at least the mom sticks it out and raises them to their best.
For the single mom because dad passed away! That’s a hero.
It’s all different situations.

Similar to what I posted earlier. If women wanted it, they could put the cad out of business. It would virtually end bastardy. And yet…

Why do we treat single moms as heroes?
Because they birth a large number of professional athletes?

They treat themselves as heroes.

As soon as we treat single dads as heroes, we can treat single moms as heroes. Simple as that.

The "single mom" issue is infested with "let's treat them all alike."
Big difference between a single mom whose husband ran off with his secretary versus the one who became single because she was fricking around.
Some single moms deserve praise. Others deserve scorn. But, we label them all the same way.
Same with vagrants and bums - some are victims, most are junkies and drunks who deserve no pity.

Same reason we treat teachers as hero’s - a strong White Knight contingent in society that refuses to allow anyone to criticize women.

We don’t.
Women rush to enable each other so they never feel like they have to take accountability for anything

They get hammered for those guilt trips they try to instill

Dan Quayle got roasted for his comments on this subject, but he was right.

It’s just harder as a single parent to do everything. They aren’t heros but you can be an empathetic human.

The only people who hype them are women, media, and men who have never dealt with them.

I don't treat them as heroes. I judge them on an individual basis. Seems like most have some kind of sappy sob story about why they need $40 to get McDonald's for their disabled child.
Seems like they all
Don't drive
Have autistic kids
Cant work due to health reasons
Fled an abusive relationship
Cant pay rent because the landlord is POS

At least teachers are providing something of value to society

95% of all single moms are simply stupid women who had children with stupid and/or bad men and ignored tons of signs they were not going yo be suitable fathers. They're not heroes at all and outcomes for children raised by single mothers is horrible yet women rarely seem unconcerned with that possibility in their dating choices.
It's pretty bad these days.

Actually not at all. Very few men just become cheaters....most have a behavior and/or history that clearly shows it's either a part of their past or there's a fairly significant possibility in the future of it happening.
Very few just fall from the sky.
Again, most of these women choose bad partners and then they continue to choose bad partners. I've seen it plenty, they just have absolutely no mind for seeing the right qualities that create stability.
They aren't bad people, just very bad at making very important choices.

I imagine it started with genuine intentions before the onslaught of sluttiness in today’s generation. It just got muddied by people that are single by choice versus a tragedy/crappy dad.
Yes. Most single mothers...historically...were not single mothers for stupid reasons. It was illness, war, in America going off to find a better life and ensure safety....all sorts of valid reasons one might end up a single mother.
In most of those cases a family member would take them in, in some cases even the subling of the departed spouse.
Now? 95% of all single moms are just someone who got pregnant from a shite dude.
