I don't think many people have a disdain for fat people. Many do have beef with the body positive movement, though, because it teaches the wrong message. Being obese is never healthy, and obesity should be discouraged. Nobody is incapable of achieving a healthy body weight, despite all the ridiculous claims of slow metabolisms, genetics, and such. It's largely bullshite. Americans aren't fat because of genetics. They are fat because they eat too much and never exercise.
The number one killer of Americans is heart disease, which is directly related to obesity. It costs our country and tax payers billions and billions of dollars each year. We need to end the epidemic, not enable it.

I'm what you call....fat. A real lard arse.
I'm not poor, not rich, but in comparison to most of you, I'm well off.
I'm very successful professionally and will be graduating with a B.S. in business in May. So I hold a full time high pressure job and am attending school full time.
I drive one of the biggest production vehicles every made - so not a little car driver.
I'm also a full-time dad. I have 4 kiddo's, 2 being under 3. My oldest, 16, achieved a 29 on his ACT in 10th grade and my 7th grader has only had A's her entire school life.
And for s&g's, my wife(2nd) is 10 years my junior, a former gymnast, a size 4 and absolutely beautiful.

because fat people represent laziness and poor decisions.
because fat people are unhealthy and die earlier.
because fat people cost me money due to increased health care cost.
because fat people are not as pleasant to look at as non - fat people
because fat people typically let their kids eat disgusting unhealthy shite and get fat also....
because fat people ---are fat because they CHOOSE not to do what is required to not be fat. It is a personal choice.
Yes I realize some people have a much larger challenge than others to stay in shape -- but so what. I am not on the "easy side" of the skinny sliding scale, but I have no problem looking sexy as frick on the beach every year --- because I eat right and work out.

I don't dislike fat people. I dislike fat people who act like victims though, or any people who pretend they are victims of their own doing.
