Not really in support of OP's argument

But Portland has a rich recent history of frequent and stupid destruction by white kids

Obviously LA had some of the most disastrous riots recent decades

But the protests here didn't blow up into riots. The furthest South I've seen recent race riots was Missouri. Possibly because more minority business ownership down south keeps mega looting from occurring?????

I don't agree with rioting and looting, but I think the point they are attempting to make is that Police only derive their authority from a public willing to submit to their authority. Once they lose that submission, they have no control or authority.

Not really riots, but ANTIFA has been terrorizing the PNW specifically for years now. Like I said, not riots but they certainly incite confrontations that have resulted in injuries and property damage.

He knows that. Anyone who says riots occur as frequently down south as up north and out west is being dishonest.

Op specified police brutality though. Portland is antifa garbage.

Sure but I can think of a couple in the south that have occured since 1992 (although southerners will use 'no true Scotsman' arguments to refute that). I don't think including the west supports op's argument.

At least in New Orleans we only loot when a 100-year storm hits...

Most southern states have high obesity rates, so they are probably just too lazy to riot.

Do y’all not remember the shite in Berkeley?

And Antifa has been stirring up shite in Portland and other places in the Pacific NW seemingly every week.

You live in Louisiana. Everywhere else is either out west or up north.

I know damn well police brutality happens down south.
My bad. I read the OP as pertaining to riots over police brutality. I'm not sure how I came to that conclusion.

Maybe you should know what you’re talking about before getting smart.

I think people are confusing riots and protests.
Big difference.

And? There were Eric Garner incidents all over the country, including Atlanta. How does that support the assertion that riots over police brutality are more frequent out west than they are in the south?

And the reason why you see these things on the coasts but not the South is because the coasts are heavily infused with far-left wing political groups. They organize these kind of protests constantly.

It’s politically-driven.
