The food definitely is. Last two years I’ve been eating and drinking mostly at Berckmans though. Don’t pay for anything there - even top shelf (except the pro shop of course where I bout one polo for $119 and a pullover for $159 - nothing cheap about their pro shop but the clothes really are nice).

I'll pay 18 bucks for a double of Glenlivet 12 in an airport gladly, despite a whole fifth sells for just twice that. The last place I want to be is with people who are acting like they're at Reggie's and in an airport.

1. Mark it up because you cannot get it elsewhere
2. Safety issue...keep the lower class drunks at bay

It has a lot more to do with rent and the owners wanting the higher prices then supply and demand. As said rent and contracts are very expensive, and they don't really want you to get drunk.

Most people would rather buy 3-4 drinks at a reasonable price to bring in more income for the business over say 1-2 very expensive ones for a lower net profit.

Given, expenses are a lot more too. For example somewhere that has to bring in employees for just 8 days a year for the football games will have much higher labor costs.
