I'm surprised no one has said the typical OT response of "Congrats on da secks"

I know plenty of people that came from stable traditional families that are way more fricked up than me and my brothers who were raised by a single mother.

You made a thread asking about going back to school and said in the op that you're 31 years old with an 8 year old and 6 year old.

Tell us, scientist, what does your exhaustive research say about children who grow-up in a household with two parents that are ignorant, narrow-minded frick sticks?

The only time I have a problem with it is when people call it a "blessing" and it's a 15-16 year old who got knocked up.

He's 7, 8 next month. So I was 24, not 23. Big difference.

That's all that matters for the kids that the parents can get along, and deal with things like normal.

jeez, unrustle for a min.

i edited to clarify...

quote:

fwiw, i took the op to mean the saying congrats to an unwed teen who got knocked up.

i didn't take it to mean getting pregnant while in a committed realtionship of many years if there is intent to marry.

and yes, i think you should be married before planning to have kids.

OP was either way too broad with his strokes of insult or he needs to clarify his position. The reason people like me that have kids "out of wedlock" get defensive or upset isn't because you're attacking us, it's our kids you're judging and they don't deserve that. My ex and I aren't anywhere close to perfect, certainly not for each other, but we are good parents who love our kids and make sure we do whatever we can to help them succeed and become better people.

You should learn the definition of "generally."

Would you say that in "general" most two parent households are ignorant, narrow minded fricks?
