Driving down Gause blvd in Slidell to get me some early lunch and some old dude with two yorkies sitting in his lap, heads hanging out the window, cuts me off by veering into my lane (left lane) as I’m trying to pass him. He probably didn’t see me in his mirror because his damn dogs were blocking his view. Not only is he driving unsafe, but he’s risking his pets safety as well not to mention everyone on the road with the old fool. I never understood why some old people do this.

It's not just old people.
Some of us need emotional support at all times.

Because apparently being 82 and driving isn't challenging enough.

My Brittany loves to sit on my lap. If we are on the back roads I let her or waiting in the parking lot for Momma to get out the store.

My dog absolutely loves riding in my lap with the window down. I'm not old and DGAF what people think.

It’s ridiculous. They are a distraction and become a missile if an accident occurs. They should be restrained in a harness.

Lap dogs should be outlawed anyway.

I have several dogs and one of them just loves to go for a rid, the rest are meh. But when she goes in a ride, she's in the back seat with her nose out the window , as God intended.

It's illegal, but cops don't care about most unsafe driving habits

It's all fun and games until an 80 year old with a Yorkie runs over your fricking kid.

It's illegal to pass in the right lane.

My dogs are only allowed in the back of my Jeep.

Only idiots would drive around with an animal in their lap.

I always thought it was dumb and dangerous. Something spooks the dog and it freaks out could cause an accident.

You should give these people a ticket. I see people playing and constantly moving their dog around whie they are driving in their laps.
