Why do so many modern young women intentionally make themselves less attractive?

Septum piercings, dyed orange, blue, green hair, no makeup, sloppy fitting clothing, trashy tattoos, unhealthy looking bodies.
It used to be the fringe, alternative types who would dress and act this way. But if you spend any time around a university campus, a coffee shop, restaraunts, a shopping mall, etc ... this style appears to be more often than not the norm than the exception. I have been noticing that every restaurant hostess we encounter has the bull ring piercing and tattoos, even at nicer restaurants.
Men do not find any of these styles attractive, yet they don't seem to care. Which seems odd.
This isn't meant to be mean or make fun of anyone's inherited traits out of their control. What I am describing are intentional choices they have made on how they wish to present themselves to the public.

80% of them are fat. They don't even give a shite about how their body looks. Not surprised they aren't sharp dressers. And it's not just young women anymore. Most Americans are content to look like slobs. And I'm posting this wearing a t-shirt that I cut the sleeves off of myself.

Women do a lot of that shite that they and other women find cool. Like dying naturally beautiful hair some garish color or getting goofy haircuts.
You’re right that men often despise the styles, but I think they do it trying to be cool with other women and don’t care so much what men like.
On the flip side, men probably get some of their tattoos and piercings to try to be cool with they homies or podnahs without thinking how women will view it.

Disagree. You old enough to remember when smoking was enough to signal that your peen would end up in their mouth, if not more?
They're emotionally damaged in some way, and need validation. You have hardcore lesbians, and others that have been begging, their entire lives, for a man to say something like, "hold on, I got this." It makes them less attractive to you, but there are other men out there, that take consensual charge.
The more men have been turned into wussies, the more women have seemed to beg for men. Do with it what you will.
