Some stores will not allow people in wearing hoodies.

Don't blame them.

Is the answer ignorance?

Because I see it too, and am completely baffled.

I wear short sleeved fishing shirts to church when it's this hot, even though I know a long sleeved one is more formal, but my ancestors didn't come from Sub-Saharan neighborhoods.

Fishing shirts are only to be worn while you grab a pole. Now this certainly can be anywhere.

I rarely wear something as warm as a hoodie during the winter in S LA
My brother lived in Alaska or Montana for over 30 years. Was always giving me sweaters and fleece pullovers for Christmas until I came out and told him I never wore them except when I visited him during Thanksgiving or Christmas. After he'd been up there for a decade, he'd brake out the shorts when it got up to 40 degrees.

People from up north that didn't understand why the 20 degree cold spell that hit us in Feb. of 2021 was so rough for us. They don't know how mild our winters normally are. The people that said Texas power companies should have winterized their equipment were talking out their arses.

I think a long sleeve t shirt would do just as well in preventing that.

I wear hoodies in the summer. Sorry I don’t want to dress like a golf dad.

I saw a black guy mowing his lawn today wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. I though maybe he is trying to lose weight?
