Why do smoke detectors always start beeping between 1-3 am everytime it goes out?

Growing up, it would start beeping between 1-3 am in my childhood home whenever it went out and now being a homeowner, it does the same thing between 1-3 am when it goes out. The smoke detector in the bedroom started beeping in the middle of the night last night, I said freak it and slept the rest of the night in the guest room. Why are smoke detectors programmed to piss people off in the middle of the night?

Batteries get the weakest when it’s cooler. Late at night, it’s the coolest your house will get. Batteries get low, it starts beeping

We must have 7-10 in the house and they ONLY go out between those hours. We have high ceilings, so it's always fun dragging the ladder out of the garage, praying you have a battery, and not going off like

I pay someone to change my smoke detector batteries every quarter so this doesn’t happen to me. I could do it myself but I make too much money to do that. It’s just a convenience for me.

They tend to go off within the same period of time that the Honeywell digital thermostat in the house mysteriously goes from a blue background to white. This is also when my dog barfs in the bedroom, I get struck with a case of night shits, or my kids wake up with night terrors.
This coincides with the time period at night when I did the most vile things and women when I was in my 20’s.

You can complain or you can solve the problem.
Write down when you change battery
Write down when it dies
Test charge level on new battery
Write down when it dies
Going forward replace old battery about 3 months before
Problem fixed going forward.

To piss you off so you remember to change them. 12 noon you say awe freak it. 2am you want to blow the thing off ceiling with shotgun to shut it up.
