Why do sharks bite people?

99% of shark attacks I hear are the shark just biting someone's leg and moving on. It is very rare to ever hear of a shark attacking someone for a meal. Maybe a giant great white that is hungry. Do people not taste good to them?

Most shark attacks are a case of mistaken identity. A surfer in a wetsuit looks awfully similar to a seal from the shark perspective. Just like they say to not wear shiny things when swimming because it can mimic a fish.

I heard most shark attacks are by juveniles that don't realize what they're biting. Once they learn what humans are they move on.

Yes, they mistake you for normal food, and they don’t have hands, so they bite you, and then taste you, and normally don’t like how we taste. For some reason, the people that venture out are low fat, and not like the seals and fish they like.
