Why do radio stations remove Christmas music tomorrow?

Today is the first day of the Christmas season. I’ll be singing Jingle Bells until January the 6th (The Epiphany)


But really, at least go until New Years with it

Most people are pretty sick of it since they have been playing it on the radio since Thanksgiving.

Because radio stations are charged more money from Mariah Carey if they go over 750 plays of "All I Want for Christmas" in a given season.

Because the overwhelming majority of Christmas music is, by any objective measure, awful.

And why don’t they place Monster Mash on All Saints Day? They play the hell out of it on All Hallows’ Eve, then nothing.

It's so freaking dumb how early they start doing stuff like that now. Then they dump it the second the 25th is gone. Makes no sense
