No it is people calling you a fricking idiot because you think you can get high by standing next to someone smoking a joint.

"Negative health benefits"??
What the frick kind of oxymoron is that?

Cannabidiol for neurodegenerative disorders

What to know about CBD for inflammation

Aside from the positive health effects, it's something that's fun for many people. Not sure if you need studies on the benefits of fun. Think about something that's fun for you that doesn't harm others. Do you feel the need to constantly give justification for doing it?

Yes.

I tried to give you a succinct answer. I don't think people should be driving impaired. But honestly, I did it all the time with a group of friends in high school without issue.

Your response didn’t address what was my main question. Like you, I, and presumably everyone else also believe driving impaired is no bueno.
That you drove while high in high school without issue is solid evidence that you didn’t get into a car crash. I guess you’re saying, in retrospect, today you believe you shouldn’t have been driving while high back then. I too never had a marijuana related “issue” in high school but I think now I was driving impaired.

Thank you. The link you shared does provide the answer (at least NORML’s perspective) and a nice reference list of multiple studies to read and decide if NORML has accurately represented them. I think they probably have but I prefer to dig a little.

I heard the expression in a song right before I set up my account. At the time, my only intention was to talk LSU. I didn't think I'd be arguing for cannabis. If anything, it probably detracts from the "substance" because it plays to stereotypes in the minds of people who don't know much about it.

Yeah, in retrospect, I don't think we should have been doing it. But I never felt unsafe at all. Actually, we were more cautious drivers because what we were doing was illegal, and that's just sort of the effect of cannabis -- slower, and at times more careful driving. Alcohol is much more dangerous for driving.

I have tried cbd for inflammation and it’s total snake oil

Paid over $35 for some oil and even more for some lotion and it simple does not work.

And Thc increases the chance of heart attack.

We had the same argument in the 1970s and the reasoning was it will hurt the pine tree farmers if hemp is allowed in...

I agree completely with those observations. It’s illegality was a motivation for caution for sure.

Will legalization and standardization bring about something like an equivalency of alcohol proof do you think? Scotland closely regulates what and what cannot be sold as “Scotch” whisky with all manner of closely monitored factors. And of course the inevitable government taxation will rear its omnivorous ugly head.

I wonder if legalization will create some opportunity hereabouts for advertisers, beatnik copy writers like me to shake off the dust, comb our thinning gray heads, trim our beards and make some coin branding and marketing quality products.

Exactly.

Legalize marijuana- but I think it will turn into an alcohol situation - where ppl won’t GAF bc it’s legal and then there will be problems

I live by a school and the weed smell coming from the car pool line is ridiculous- it also affects my asthma - but I’m not picking on weed - that’s any kind of smoke for me

Just because you disagree with his opinion, doesn't necessarily make it wrong. Although I don't necessarily agree with it, the fact that he has that many upvotes is pretty impressive, and telling, if you ask me.

I don't have an issue with the argument that people smoke just to relax and unwind, similar to drinking alcohol. However, I totally disagree with those who think that smoking weed isn't trashy, and that those who smoke or use marijuana all do it discreetly and have no affect on others.

Not sure about standardization, but on the business aspects, yes. More positive aspects -- more opportunities for small businesses, less black market money going south of the border, and more people who actually know what they're using. When people buy on the black market, they often have limited choices, don't know what strain they're buying, and don't know who their money is going to support.
I'd much rather support small businesses or hippies who care about quality products than black market alternatives.

It would probably cut down on crime like this too. (This incident occurred because Rayborn's friend told him about a dealer who he thought had a lot of money and weed in his apartment. Rayborn attempted the robbery, his mask came off, so he killed the two guys in the apartment and then set the apartment on fire.)
