Why do poor people take so long to check out at gas stations?

If I’m standing in a line I can predict with 85% certainly who will hold up the line at a Circle K. I know part of it is that they need smokes and lottery tickets but that’s only the beginning.
For some reason they end up doing like 3 separate transactions. I waited almost 5 minutes for a guy to finish last night and all I got was a 44 oz Dr Pepper.

It’s Louisiana people in general. Just slow. That’s why when you get on the road they drive the same way they move in a store. The light turns green at a signal and it takes their brains 30 seconds to process that before moving.

I worked at a liquor store in college back when paying cash was a thing. Waiting on those mfers to count out $4 in change was always fun.

What’s worse is they all use the gas pumps for parking spots so you pull up to get gas and they’re all taken but no one is pumping gas.

Why in the fresh hell are you even in the store?
If the pay at the pump isn't working, I'll go somewhere else to avoid setting foot in those places.
Other than to take a piss on a road trip, I haven't been in one in 10 years.

Pump your gas, pull forward to a parking spot if you have to go in. It's not that difficult to get out of other peoples way.
